Athlectics Practice!

On Monday and Wednesday we had Athlectics Practice!

I Learn't lots of new tips in high jump. You Run in a J. First you jog staright and when you curve you run to get the right speed to jump high enough over a rope. My Favorite is Long jump and Running! The Teacher for this was Ms Nelson! 



Tips for running is always run your with your arms
on your side. Don't forget to save energy for the

You jump and land with your feet together! Be careful to not land on your bottom
otherwise you can be disqulified!

Hei-Tiki Mueseum Trip

On Tuesday the 26th of June we went to the tea room at the goverment gardens. We learnt lots about tikis and what happened and how they were used in the past before rings. In New Zealand they used Hei Tikis as a sign of marrige and it also blessed them to have a good luck, and able to have many kids. So we had the challenge to make our own tikis out of fabric and buttons. First we all sat at a table and their was a gray tod tray on each table. Their was about 7 pieces of fabric in each tray. Their was a tiki template that we traced around our fabric with a marker pen and then cut it out.
Then we had to sew buttons onto our tiki I chose pink and yellow buttons. Then we made a mouth out of a different colored fabric. It was a little bit hard but I managed to do it I gave it my best go. Our teachers for this was Emma and Christina they were very good helpers to us duriing this task.

Our Adapted Board Game

I Adapted the game life. It took quite a while it does not look the best cause we only had 45+ mins to do it. The picture at the bottom is our board game. We have chance cards job cards and a place to put the characters.  Our photo is not that good but really in real LIFE it is amazing we have rules and instructions so you know how to play! I made this with my friends Rebecca and Samantha!

Cross country

We did cross country last week on Monday. I am pretty sure I came 9th?.
First we ran up a really tall stone hill. Then we went up another hill and went down when we took a right then we kept on going up hills then down hills. then I was a the finish people were cheering me on what made me happy! then I finally got to the finish! 

Sacred Heart Art Work

Today we did artwork for RE the 2 hearts represent the 2 other crosses beside Jesus' cross. The fire represent's the burning of Jesus' love for us. The vines with thorns on them are Jesus' pain and it is also his crown of thorns. The cross means the crucifixion and the ultimate sacrifice.

Bikewise

On Monday we had  bikewise  3 people came Matua Hugh, Anna And our old Go 4 it teacher and I don't know his name. First we got helmets and learned safety about them like if u buckle up your helmet and you can lift the buckle on top of your chin then you need to make it tighter. You also so have to make sure that this thing on your helmet is underneath your ear. Also if a helmet has a crack right through you will have to chuck it away. If you can put 2 fingers on top of your eyebrows then you can keep it on your head because having it on your forehead will mean that the back of your head will be hit and you will probably have a major injury! Then after We did Bike safety We had to do quick release and we had to check the brakes and make sure our handle bars are tight. Then we went on our bikes and did some steering we did that for basically the whole entire time. Then went back to class and that was it!

Jelly Math's

This week we are making Rainbow jelly we are doing this for maths but we also get to eat it when we are all done. We had to figure out how much 200 ml is in our plastic cup then we had to choose how much we can add to our cup I added 40 ml and I keep on doing it till today but just this week. We put in how much of what we add in our worksheet in our Math Book. We are going to eat them today after lunch time. 

Elixer of Love

A Opera came to our school called New Zealand Opera the set was an fish and chips shop.It was a bout this man who loved a women but the women did not love her back. Her dad was his boss so she would be there for a very long time but Adina had a crush on Belcore (Famous Movie star) and they were about to get married what made me get nervous. The girls name was Adina it was amazing at the end Adina and Nemorino (the man that had a crush on Adina) got married then they all came together and said there names. The first guys name was Dulcamara his real name is Samson Setu. The one in blue is Belcore His real name is Angus Simmons  Next as you know Adina Real name Natasha Wilson after that girl it is Nemorino real name Manade latu then our teacher Mrs Wallbank. My Favourite part was when Nemorino and Adina got Married! My Favourite Character is Adina.    

My Minecraft Sky Tower

Me, Samantha,Kim,Emily R, Kamiria and Caoihme made a Sky Tower on something called Minecraft We made a Restaurant and Cafe We also made the Sky Jump when you jump off the Sky tower onto the ground but you land on something soft so you don't hit the ground to hard and hurt your self badly. That is my Minecraft Sky Tower.

Jesus's Resurrection

Jesus died on the cross he was put into a tomb after 3 days of being dead in the tomb he rose from the dead. Mary took 2 of her friends to go to the tomb. But the stone that was blocking the entrance had been moved to the side and Jesus was no where to be seen in the tomb. So they were looking all over then an angel appeared to the 3 women and said "Why are you looking for Jesus he has resurrected" then the 3 women went back to the town and got someone named Simon. They went back to the tomb and Simon went inside the tomb and found Jesus's clothes inside the tomb.Then they went to the soldiers and when they came the said it was just a trick or a joke so then they left.Then they were looking for Jesus again and he suddenly appeared to them and he said "Why are you looking for me?". "I have risen from the dead" That was Jesus's Resurrection. Me and my friend Rebecca made Jesus's tomb our tomb is the photo on the top.

The ones that are highlighted yellow are the ones I know and the orange ones I am do not know. I need to work on my 9 times tables. 

Art Canvases for Children's day!

Soon it will be Children's day and we made some canvases we are the only class in our school doing this.
This is exactly how we did it...


1. Get a medium sized white piece of fabric and place it on a table that has some newspaper on it.
2. Get a paint brush that you want to use.
3. Choose a colour but it has to be DYE other wise it will not work. (colour is optional)
4.Get your brush and dab it into the dye wipe it on the edge of the cup or bowl it is in then lightly dab it onto the fabric and repeat it.
5. get some leaves and paint them and press it down onto your fabric then lift it up and done repeat that.
6. YOUR DONE!!! :D   

Ash Wednesday & Lent

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday is when we get cross's on our heads made of palm leaves from last year what were used for palm Sunday what actually was not on Sunday . You also had to make a promise for 40 days! Ash Wednesday is also the first day of lent. The cross can also remind u of your promise that you made. 

All About Me Bag Caitlyn

                                           

I have got my all about me bag and the bunny holding flowers and standing on grass means that I love animals and nature.The two animals that are a dog and cat and they are my most favourite animals in the whole wide world all though that cat is quite a grumpy one. I have also got the smallest head in the family,The man holding me is my dad my first word was Dada and that is it.I also love BTS but i didn't put a photo of them because I do not have a photo of them.😊
