The seven sisters - represent the maori new year.

The maori new year starts in late may or early June.

This is the story about Matariki……………..

A long time ago there lived 8 brother and 7 sisters.

The brother were so handsome they were not married because they thought they were to handsome to love. When they went hunting they were distracted by beautiful singing then they saw the seven sisters they were in love.Then the seven sisters got the handsomeness from them and they turned all boney and ugly then they trapped the seven sisters and their grandfather turned into a bird and flew into space and the space father took them away so that is why every Matariki the space father lets them have a chance to shine.

One day their was a girl called Rosetta she loves roses more than every thing she seems so nice but in fact it seems like she can be really bossy and mean she has heaps of friends but it was only because they were exactly like her they were mean and bossy her friends names were Rosie and tulip and daisy they were the big bully’s then the next day everybody felt suspicious about her because he has blond hair and she was acting very nice.
